Course Description

This course introduces students to the theories and methods of learning, teaching and assessing science and technology in the elementary school. The course is both practical and theoretical in nature and is based on the premise that all teaching methods and practices must be grounded in theory. The course investigates methods and approaches to developing an integrated science curriculum that is based on how investigative science can be used to answer questions and solve problems. Two full days of fieldwork required, Tuesday and Thursday. This course is required of all Childhood Education majors.
